You will need some kind of small backpack to carry other items, especially if you are using a bladder and/or canteens.
You will probably want pouches like THIS and THIS on your chest rig to hold common use items. A DUMP POUCH that rolls up small. There are larger pouches available but they don’t fit on most setups.
